Isabella’s Detailed Personal Bio

Isabella Dusi is an expert on Italy, a professional speaker, author, social historian, story teller and tour leader. The story of Isabella’s journey tells of her extraordinary determination, focusing on her resilience and courage as she overcame tragedy and, finding herself penniless, confronted reality, took on the challenges, overcame adversity and found herself living in Italy. Isabella’s mission it to  use the story of her personal determination and resilience to motivate and inspire others on their life journey.

Sought after as an inspirational and motivational speaker, Isabella travels all over the world, sharing her personal story with openness and honesty. Isabella tailors her presentations to YOUR needs, always inspiring and motivating those who hear her to see further, do more and achieve.

Living 23 years in a medieval village in Tuscany, Isabella has travelled all over Italy, understanding the Italian way of life as it unfolds daily for every Italian in every village. She received a Citation from the Mayor of Montalcino, Tuscany, for services to her Italian community, and a Citation from the Mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, USA for her work to save an historic monument. Isabella ventures internationally on projects and tours that take her on speaking engagements to the United States, Britain, New Zealand and Australia. Her eclectic audiences are captivated by the story of a woman who inspires optimism and motivates action, touching the lives of all who hear her.

Isabella has led and escorted hundreds of tours to all regions of Italy and Sicily, as well as France, Corsica, Morocco, Croatia and Malta. Her expert storytelling has earned her an international following with travelling public who follow her to every destination. She has authored two print and three ebooks, published by Simon & Schuster UK, translated into several languages, including Chinese. First came best-selling Vanilla Beans & Brodo, next  Bel Vino and the last in the trilogy, The Terracotta Madonna.  Her fourth print book, Cucina Povera, was produced and published in Italy. As an Italy expert, she will shortly release a series of travel books exposing the secrets about Italy she has learned over more than two decades, encapsulating the The Art of Loving Everything about Italy – her motto under the banner of her web business: Footsteps in Italy.

Not only sharing her amazing personal story, Isabella is an expert storyteller about Renaissance art, Italian artists, the Sicilian Mafia and many Italian historic events. She has contributed stories and been reviewed in publications including La Nazione Italia, Panorama Italia, Corriere di Siena, Cittadina Siena, New Zealand Herald, NIAF USA, and is the on camera Presenter on many Web Vision Italy (USA) travel video programs. She has written articles for many magazines and journals.
